Sir John Calls For Unity

The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Kwadwo Owusu-Afriyie, has re-echoed the need for members of the party to remain united and work in harmony. He urged party members to avoid creating camps when offering themselves to take up party positions, stating that, the party cannot survive with disunity. He made this call in an interview with The New Crusading Guide during his visit to some constituencies in the Central Region to resolve some issues emanating from the partys recent constitutions congress. Ghanaians have confidence in the NPP so we should have this in mind and be guided by it in all our considerations, he said. He urged party members to put the party's interest first and work hard to achieve results, stressing that, the party needs unity to recapture power. He assured party members that as the Chief Scribe of the NPP, he would continue to work diligently towards achieving the goals and objectives of the party. For him, whether he is re-elected as the General Secretary of the party or not, the party must run and achieve good results, adding that, that was his utmost priority. Mr. Owusu Afriyie commended party members in the Central Region for conducting a peaceful congress and urged them to continue to be committed to the cause of the party. So far its been so good. They should continue to work very hard and I know victory would be ours at the end, he added.
