Prez Mahama Tells Bagbin & Co: Criticisms Makes Me A Stronger Person

On the 4th of November, 2013, Hon. Sumana Kinsford Bagbin minced no words on Okay FM describing President Mahama as a naked president albeit in a conditional sense. Although his comments made him the number one enemy within his own party, the National Democratic Congress, Hon. Bagbin rubbed more salt into the wounds of the president by claiming that he was running the presidency like a family and friends business. Until today, many would have thought the hatchet had been buried-but considering the presidents response, it is clear Hon. Bagbin's words pricked him. In an interaction with the Media at the Flagstaff House to mark the First Year of his First Term in Office, President Mahama first dismissed the notion that he was running the presidency with his family and friends. According to him, he has eighteen siblings none of whom serves in his government or has been considered for political appointment. He charged the public to find out if what he was saying is untrue. He charged his critics to be objective in their remarks and reminded them of the thick skin he had developed to stomach such attacks. "Criticisms make me a stronger person", President Mahama stated. "...in any organization, disagreements come up but it doesnt mean that we are not working together. I dont abhor criticisms and this makes it easier for members of my party to criticize me", he added.
