Sammi Awuku Mobbed In Kumasi

SAMMI AWUKUS hankering of becoming the National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has attracted massive backing by the partys members, notably, the youth, in Kumasi, the stronghold of the NPP. The young and hardworking politician became overwhelmed when he was virtually mobbed by a huge number of the NPP youth in Kumasi when he made an unannounced visit to the city on Monday morning. Awuku who had intensified his nationwide campaign in recent times, was passing through Kumasi to the Brong Ahafo Region when he decided to briefly visit Ash FM, a local radio station in the city. The news of Awukus presence in the Garden City spread rapidly like a wild fire as it attracted sizeable number of the NPP supporters in the area who rushed to the place to catch a glimpse of their idol. The young politician had a difficult task before he was able to meander his way through the thick crowd as he tried to climb upstairs to the Ash FMs studios. The number of the people that besieged the Ash FMs premises increased rapidly minutes after Awuku spoke on air about some key national issues, notably, the harsh economic hardship in the country. Awuku who was hard pressed with time became alarmed about the large number of NPP faithful that had visited the place to catch a glimpse of him and also to declare their unalloyed support for his bid. The aspiring National Youth Organizer who was brimming with smiles eventually obliged to the wish of the large crowd most of whom were clad in NPP T-shirts. NO JOKES FOR 2016 In his succinct address, Awuku described the 2016 presidential elections as very crucial for the NPP and Ghanaians suffering from the bad leadership of the NDC administration. No jokes for the 2016 elections, the young politician stated to the large crowd who responded by chanting Awukus name. The crowd then declared their support for Awukus bid. The NPP, he said, would win the next presidential and parliamentary elections at all cost, noting, The party needs dedicated and loyal leaders like myself that will sacrifice their time, energy and resources to help develop the NPP. MAHAMA FOR ONE TERM Awuku, who seemed to be in high spirits, without mincing words, told the crowd that President Mahama would be at the presidency for just one term. He then stated categorically that the NPP would make the NDC government hot in 2014, by critically monitoring and analyzing every action that the government would take.
