Issues Of Corruption Raised By Opposition In 2013 Were Superficial.

2013 will go down in the annals of the countrys political history as a very challenging one with acts of graft and sleaze by government appointees dominating the headlines virtually every month. No wonder some even dubbed it The Year of Corruption. But a member of the Governments Communication Machinery, Alhaji Naziru Mohammed, opines the issues bandied about by the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) cannot be classified as perceived corruption. Analyzing the GYEEDA, SADA and Isofoton saga, the NDC communicator told Peacefmonline.com in an interview that the afore-mentioned cases does not reflect corruption since they mostly had to do with governments agreement with some various private companies. He stressed that Ghanaians should not confuse agreements signed between private companies and their employees with that of government and the companies. a retrospection of the issues raised as corruption under Mahama administration, in my opinion are simply perceived acts of corruptionit is not true because in the case of GYEEDA, there were modules where the agreement was signed between the government and the private company and this has nothing to do with the agreement between the company and its workers..how much salary to pay workers by Zoomlion should not be the duty of government even though certain amount was presented to government; with this I dont see where people can come in to say that the government is corrupt.if there is a breach of contract then the company should be taken to court. Our description of corruption should be clearly defined, he pontificated.
