Prez Mahama Got It Wrong..I Beg To Disagree

Host of National Agenda on Oman fm, Fiifi Boafo has stated that President Mahama got it wrong with the assertion that the work format of radio presenters especially the newspaper review which discuss political issues is lazy. He explained that in every work there is bound to be mistakes and it will not be out of place if the President prompts the areas where he deems fit for change in the radio programs format; adding that the understanding is different if President Mahama wages that the format use by presenters is lazy. In an interview with Tweneboa Kodua on Ghana Decides program, Fiifi Boafo said that the President could have advised on how to conduct the program format which in his (President Mahama's) view can bring to the limelight what he prefers to be discussed rather than suggest that presenters are doing an unprofessional job. Against this backdrop, Fiifi Boafo said that the President got it wrong or maybe that was not the way he wanted to say it, eventually he made a mistake; adding that if President Mahama intended to say that the work is lazy, then to him (Fiifi Boafo) the President is wrong with his submission on the work of radio presenters in the country. "...this has been the misconception of some Ghanaians that the morning shows on the various radio stations is the very easy one; in that the people share the notion that the work of the presenters are to read the newspapers on air and conduct some interviews... but the work requires consultations with experts on the issues to be discussed the following day," he stressed. He added that about 90% of the newspaper headlines are reviewed to the presenters and the producers of the programs before the papers are published the next day; thus giving them a fair idea about what issues to be reviewed in order that the invited guests will be abreast with the topic. ...with this explanation, is it every lazy person who will be able to do this work? Is it any ordinary person who wakes up in the morning without doing any sort of preparation to do such work? he sought to know. To him, it is disturbing if for any reason the President makes such a general statement that the format of morning shows is lazy; recounting that this can be considered as the persons view but as President of the Republic of Ghana, I beg to disagree.
