The Forum of Konkomba Opinion Leaders of Ghana has commended President John Dramani Mahama, for reshuffling Regional Ministers, and in the process moving Upper West Regional Minister to Northern Region. A statement issued in Accra on Tuesday and copied to the Ghana News Agency expressed the commitment of members of the forum to give the new Regional Minister, Mr Bede Zeideng, the required support to drive peace in the area and consolidate development. It said tolerance and good neighbourliness are the two most important ingredients that the region needs to sustain peaceful co-existence of the various ethnic groups. The forum called for peace education in the region to educate the people on the consequences of war, need for social justice and the value for peaceful coexistence. The statement called on government to organise seminars on how to resolve inter-personal disputes through techniques of negotiation and peer mediation.
