Stop Twisting The Meaning of The State of Nation Address � Kofi Adams

Spokesperson for the Rawlingses, Kofi Adams, has cautioned the main opposition party NPP and other political ignorant to stop twisting the meaning of the State of the Nation�s Address. The spokesperson for the Rawlingses said that these people are misleading the unsuspected Ghanaians in a certain way which undermines the actual intention of the State of the Nation�s Address Speaking on Peace FM�s �kokrokoo� programme on Friday, Kofi Adams queried those who are coiling the issue. �Were they expecting the President to work magic within January 6 to February 22 to achieve whatever they expect from the President,� he asked. According to him, what the President did was to give account of late President Mills� term, adding that the President stated the achievement of his predecessor and upon which he (President Mahama) will continue to initiate his plans for the four-year mandate given him. He stressed that President Mahama has laid down his initiatives to solve many problems which confront the nation. �On health problems, the President has guaranteed to build infrastructure such as chip compounds to help prevent mothers who die during child labor. �If somebody tells me that the President did not give any indication as to what should be done and that there is no hope, then I don�t know what the person wants to say,� Kofi Adams said. However, he emphatically stated that nobody can deny the fact that Ghana is facing some challenges with the West African Gas Pipeline. He added that the government is doing whatever it can to intensify the effort to generate power and get involve with the private sector to generate more power for the country.
