Conveners Of Let My Vote Count Are Mortgaging Their Future For The Failed Dreams Of Nana Addo

A member of the Communication team of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), strongly believes leaders of the Let My Vote Count campaign are mortgaging their lives for an unprofitable cause. Samuel George expressed sadness that the failed dreams of the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo, has led to some promising youth wasting away their future. He was commenting on the campaign by the pro-NPP pressure group Let My Vote Count Alliance (LMVC). The LMVC is a multipartisan movement which in pursuance of Nana Akufo-Addo and two other plaintiffs election law suit, are embarking on a nationwide campaign to rally support for the court action. Leading members of the group include Deputy Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party, Sammy Awuku, Ernest Owusu Bempah of the National Democratic Party (NDP), Abu Ramadan of the Peoples National Convention (PNC) and Charles Owusu of the Progressive Peoples Party (PPP). Contributing to panel discussions on Radio Golds Alhaji and Alhaji programme, Samuel George opined: It is sad that you have young men who have their life ahead of them mortgaging their entire future for the failed dreams of an old man. It is sad. You have people standing on public platforms and say that they should throw bombs in Ghanathat is how little and fickle their minds are. The police, after a launch of LMVC at Taifa, in the Dome/Kwabenya constituency, has invited leading members of the group for questioning; ostensibly for making claims deemed to be potentially dangerous to the security of the country. According to Sam George, the security personnel delayed in inviting the leaders to throw more light on their activities and had preferred the police effected their arrest moments after the LMVC baseless claims were made. It is a gross failure on their part. That very day people should have been invitedevery well thinking Ghanaian, irrespective of your political affiliation should stand upbecause this can be the beginning of an insurgency. The earlier we clamp down on it and call these people to order and make sure sanity is restored to this country, the better for all of us he said.
