ELECTION 2012: 5,000 Troops On Stand By

The Chief of Defense Staff Lt. Gen. Augustine Blay has disclosed that the Military High Command has five thousand stand by troops ready to be deplored to every corner of the country to supervise the election. Addressing President Mahama Thursday at the Burma Camp on the President�s maiden visit to the Ghana Armed Forces since he was sworn in, the CDS assured the nation of their preparedness towards this year's elections saying no-one should have an iota of fear since they are on the high alert to prevent any trouble. �We are reassuring you your Excellency that our borders are safe,� he said.
