We Can't Promise Free Air But Ghanaians Would Enjoy A Breath Of Fresh Air Under The NPP Bawumia

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Running Mate to Nana Akufo-Addo, has said that with the current prevailing unbearable hardships and mismanagement of the economy by the NDC administration, Ghanaians would enjoy a breath of fresh air come December 7th when Nana Akufo-Addo is elected President of the Republic by the suffering millions. The NPP Vice-Presidential candidate said this in Bolgatanga on Saturday at a forum organized at the Bolgatanga Pozlytechnic. In apparent reaction to statements made earlier in the week by the President, Dr. Bawumia said, When we talk about our policies and programmes, you hear some saying that soon we would even promise free air. We would not promise free air, but I can tell you one thing, Ghanaians would enjoy a breath of fresh air after December 7th 2012 when Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP are elected to steer the affairs of this country competently We would move away from propaganda in the management of the economy to real economic management. We would deliver low interest rates to our companies. We would deliver low cost of living to Ghanaians. We would stabilize the cedi fundamentally and not in a contrived manner that we have today. We would ensure that the private sector is energized to provide the jobs that we need and generally make life better for the ordinary Ghanaian, he stated. Dr. Bawumia who was speaking on a broad range of issues took on the NDC government for their poor management of the economy which had made life worse for the Ghanaian. He noted that the NDCs poor management of the economy had seen a decline in the real sector of the economy which was negatively affecting the creation of jobs and growth of the economy. The NPP Vice-Presidential candidate indicated that aside the free secondary school pledge of the NPP, the government of Nana Akufo-Addo was going to take practical but bold steps to create the desired transformation of the economy and modernize the society.
