Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo, has donated an amount of GH�10,000 to the Chief of Akyem Begoro, Daasebre Awuah Kotoko, following a fire outbreak that occurred in his palace a few days ago.
The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) said upon hearing the unfortunate incident, he decided to give out his �widows might� to help the Chief in reconstructing his palace.
According to him (Nana Akufo Addo), �so far as there is life he will regain everything back�.
Mr. Kofi Asare Lartey a former Constituency Chairman of the NPP in the Fanteakwa Constituency, presented the money on behalf of Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo.
Speaking to Peace News, Michael Akrofie, a correspondent said Daasebre Kotoko expressed profound gratitude and urged government to revamp the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) in other to respond to future incidents timely.
According to him, had the fire personnel reported on time, the situation would have been different.
Meanwhile, government has assured the chief and people of Begoro its readiness to help address the accommodation problem facing the traditional leader and his family.
