NDC Cant Fulfill Rawlings Challenge... Mahama Can Never Sack The Ablakwa's, Asiedu Nketia's, etc

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has expressed doubts if the leadership of the NDC could live up to the challenge thrown them by the party founder and former President John Rawlings. Former President Jerry John Rawlings at the NDCs special delegates congress on Thursday challenged President Dramani Mahama to restore integrity to the presidency, the government and the party if he is to become a successful leader. He also charged the leadership of the party to work to restore the unity and integrity which earlier existed in the party. But in a congratulatory message to President John Mahama for emerging as flagbearer of the ruling NDC, the NPPs General Secretary, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie said, the leadership of the NDC will cannot fulfill the conditions former President John Rawlings gave them. In an interview with Citi News, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie said: The rank and file of the NDC should know that what Rawlings said is that the Okudzeto Ablakwas, the Asiedu Nketias and those who call themselves special aides like the Nii Lantey Vanderpuyes; these persons ought to be sacked from the government and once they do that it is only then that he will see himself coming back to his roots. He added but we know that John Mahama will not sack them and if John is not going to sack them, then it pre-supposes that Rawlings is not coming back because it will be very difficult for him to stay with people like that.
