Where Mills' Death Rumours Emanated from...

As the dust slowly settles on the brouhaha over the Presidents health status and the manner in which he had to be flown out in what seemed as a quickly and panicky arranged trip to the US for a supposed routine medical check-up, it is gradually becoming clear to all the real origins of the orchestrated false rumors on President Mill death. Initial comments from within the camp of the NDC that made the news on the departure of President Mills for US had sought to blame the opposition NPP as the source of the rumors. Not even a statement of well wishes from the NPP flagbearer, Nana Akufo Addo, seemed to be enough to demonstrate his genuine intentions as it was misconstrued as mischief, albeit, by a small section of the NDC and President Mills diehard supporters. According to the pro-NDC paper, its reliable intel picked up blatantly points to the castle as the source of the concoction. And if the castle is the source, the question then is who at the castle? This has sent tongues wagging and accusing fingers pointing at each other within the presidency as they all ponder who stands to benefit most from the Presidents demise. Constitutionally though, the vice president is to become the President if for whatever reasons the head of state is unable to complete his tenure. He holds the fort until a new President is elected and sworn in on January 7. For the unfolding drama which is becoming a daily occurrence within the NDC, the informer, which is a paper with a proven association and connection within the presidency, is of the view that the ruling party is on a self destruction course. Since the early days of pissing in and out through its Sunyani congress where the former first lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings and wife of the NDC founder lost woefully to President Mills for the partys presidential slot to the fight over the ownership of party logo, its been a roller coaster ride of self inflicted injuries. It will be recalled that very early in President Mills administration, when the fall out between himself and party founder was heating up, a close associate and friend of the Rawlings, Herbert Mensah pointed fingers at a personality within the castle who was arming his war chest ostensibly in preparation for his possible launch for the partys presidential slot at the opportunity. While many have praised Vice President Mahama for his visibility, others have equally accused him of hatching a plot to become the preferred and obvious choice should an opportunity avail itself as well as brokering personal deals with his trips to Brazil and South Korea on the Embraer Jet and STX housing deals. The informer argues that the NDC is becoming escalated with bits of self-destruct individuals with personal interests to safeguard than a political party with a common purpose. It then warns the egocentric NDC member that climbs to the top of the NDC tree but unwisely cuts down the trunk from the top, would become the most hurt victims of the disastrous result.
