JJ Wont Campaign Teye Nyaunu

THE MEMBER of Parliament (MP) for Lower Manya Krobo and leading member of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Teye Nyaunu has disclosed that former President Rawlings will not campaign for the ruling party in the December polls. Speaking on Kessben Fm in Kumasi, he said the Mills-led government has not added any value to the lives of Ghanaians since it assumed office more than three years ago therefore he does not think Mr. Rawlings would mount the campaign platform to urge the populace to renew the mandate of the NDC. Mr. Nyaunu who is very close to the Rawlingses noted that though the NDC founder has not told him he would not campaign for the NDC, he personally does not expect Mr. Rawlings to do so. President Mills has not added any value to the fortunes of the country ever since the NDC administration assumed the reins of this country, he said in a chat with Omanhene of Kessben Fm. The NDC guru asked what will former President Rawlings campaign about if he decides to mount the platform to campaign for the NDC in the coming general elections? Mr. Nyaunu who doesnt think the present NDC administration has done anything significant for the country asked Will Mr. Rawlings ask the electorate who are discerning to give the NDC more time? He again enquired will the NDC founder campaign about the corrupt practices that have been the order of the day in the NDC government? noting the former president would not have any message to campaign about. Mr. Nyaunu observed that President Mills was not the one calling the shots in the present government, citing the behavior of the likes of Koku Anyidoho who can single-handedly call for the suspension of the Ashanti ECG boss. He noted that the president is surrounded by people whose main agenda is to see their personal interests championed and not that of the millions of Ghanaians that voted the party into power. The MP said the country was not the property of a single individual or a particular group, defending his boss Mr. Rawlings assertion that NPP flag bearer Nana Akufo-Addo could become Ghanas next president.
