A former chairman of the defunct Democratic Freedom Party(DFP), Nii Okaija Adamafio says an NDC victory in the December polls will not be dependent on the Rawlingses. The DFP, which broke away from the NDC following a rift between its founder Obed Asamoah and Former President Rawlings, yesterday united with the party officially. Nii Okaija Adamafio in an interview with Citi News said the party should concentrate on effectively resourcing itself to work independent of individuals. �If the NDC founder is not on board, that is not to say that the party should throw up their arms because at a point in time the various personalities will go but the party machinery will and should remain,� he told Citi News. He made these comments yesterday when the leadership of the ruling NDC met with the DFP to officially conclude a merger between the two political forces.
