NPPS Secret Agenda Exposed!!!

A social and political advocacy group, THE BRIDGE, says their observations of political events leading to the forthcoming general elections reveals surreptitious but veritable underground conspiracies on the part of the NPP to unleash mayhem and violence. THE BRIDGE cites the recent open letter to President Mills dated March 27 2012, and penned by National Chairman of the NPP, Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey, as well as other remarks by leading members of the opposition party as basis of their claims. In a statement signed by its Deputy Secretary, Bright Kinful, the group exhorted all Ghanaians to stand up against any agent of diabolic schemes and to also join hands in fighting against any genocidal tendencies, chaos and bloodshed being insinuated by the NPP National Chair, Presidential candidate of the NPP, Nana Akuffo-Addo and all like-minded persons. Below is the full statement by the social and advocacy group. Jakes Open Letter To The Prez A Revelation Of NPPS Secret Agenda We the members of THE BRIDGE, a social and political advocacy group, have observed the political events that have characterized the build up to the forth coming general elections in Ghana over the past year. Our observations have revealed surreptitious but veritable underground conspiracies on the part of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to unleash mayhem and violence on the country. The open letter of the National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey, dated March 27 2012, has finally revealed the plot. Ethnic incitement to bloodshed: It was at Koforidua that the flag bearer and presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Akuffo Addo, openly boasted of how NPP activists displayed the art of politics-based vandalism during a bye election at Atiwa. Indeed, it was during this political gathering that the NPP flagbearer launched a well-known wicked, immoral and criminal ruse used by opportunistic politicians all over the world to attain political power at the expense of human lives implicitly inciting the Akan ethnic group of Ghana not to be cowardly, but rather welcome bloodshed. The ethnocentric nature of his incitement is enough to convict the NPP presidential candidate before the International Criminal Court in the event of any ethnically fuelled conflict which led to bloodshed. This incitement was crowned with the diabolical phrase: All die be die coined by the NPP presidential candidate - Nana Akuffo Addo. Consistent with the ethnic incitement of his flagbearer, the National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Jake Otanka Obetsebi-Lamptey in an address to a group of party supporters, also went on to reinforce and further develop the All Die Be Die philosophy by meanly and deviously drawing an analogy between the brief but bloody politics-related conflict in neighboring La Cote DIvoire and what he and the NPP had secretly planned for Ghana. Coincidentally, the thrust of the NPP chairmans incitement on that occasion was the Akan ethnic group that Akans are the majority in La Cote DIvoire (a false assertion made to mislead the Akan ethnic group of Ghana) and consequently exploited their numerical strength to cause violence in La Cote DIvoire, and were on their way to doing the same in Ghana. This ethnocentric incitement is also evidence of judicial culpability in the event of any God-forbidden conflict in Ghana. One facet of the NPP conspiracy to cause mayhem in Ghana is to maliciously and diabolically undermine the credibility of the Ghana Police service and other security agencies. The New Patriotic Partys aim of such a ploy is to shift blame from themselves to the national security agencies. The ploy had been channeled through false publications in the mass media about the police: firstly, there was the publication in a local tabloid that the Inspector General of Ghana Police service has been dismissed. Following mature summoning and advice by the police the offence was ignored. Then an allegation that a government official had slapped a Police officer what was the aim of this? - To undermine Police integrity as well as image of Government. This too was vehemently denied by both the official and the police officer concerned. The most impudent of all came with an NPP member of Parliament Hon. Kennedy Agyepong urging all NPP supporters to assault the police while they go about their duty during the General Elections. There have been a couple of attempts to tarnish the enhanced image of the Ghana Police Service over the past few years. The reason for targeting the national police is quite obvious. The Police have won enormous public confidence mainly because of their success in the fight against the narcotics trade and reducing the incidence of armed robbery. They therefore have the confidence of the public to maintain law and order during the general elections. The strategy of the New Patriotic Party is to undermine their credibility in order to have a means of escape in their evil plot. In his open letter to the president, the NPP chairman referred to the use of arms by agents of the national security apparatus and rather unwisely sought to launch his veiled threat of armed mayhem on the people of Ghana on that. We exceptionally set Jake apart for commendation in this for his honesty in affirming that the man who had recourse to the use of arms during the Chereponi bye elections in 2009, was actually a national security official, because, for purposes of political propaganda, NPP propagandists have persistently and deliberately stated that he was an activist of the National Democratic Congress. It is obvious that the officials of the office of the President he referred to were also agents of National Security. In the Zongo Lane incident, clearly, there was no need for the use of arms neither were arms brandished. We state categorically that in all the narratives of the incident by all persons, there was no mention of any show of guns or weapons. That is where we find the threat of armed confrontation by Jake, nothing but an OPPORTUNISTIC THREAT TO UNLEASH MAYHEM AND BLOODSHED ON THE PEOPLE OF GHANA. The aforementioned threats by the two foremost personalities of the NPP, especially the last one by Jake Obetsebi Lamptey - Mr. President, we have learnt that procuring guns in this country is not difficult. We have also learnt that no one has a monopoly on violence. We have finally also learnt that when not stopped early, violence will escalate. This statement can only be an opportunistic declaration of the NPPs secret conspiracy to undermine the security of the state and unleash chaos and bloodshed on the country during the general elections of 2012. The tragedies that small arms, has wreaked on nations within the west African sub-region viz. Liberia, Sierra Leone, La Cote DIvoire and currently the Republic of Mali, is very well known. We note that to check the brutality of the small arms problem, the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Moratorium on the Importation, Exportation and Manufacture of Light Weapons, signed on 31 October 1998 in Abuja has articles to deal with it, specifically articles 50 & 51. It among other things aims to: Take preventive measures against the illegal circulation of small arms and that ECOWAS shall take measures to combat illicit trafficking and circulation of small arms. Politicians from Kenya, Rwanda, and Liberia etc. have been on trial at the International Criminal Court. Would the next of group to appear be from Ghana? The threats that have been uttered suggest criminal intentions on the part of the above mentioned politicians to commit crimes against humanity. Appeal: we therefore implore all stakeholders in the peace and security of the Republic of Ghana and the ECOWAS sub-region to take note of these developments and to call to order the New Patriotic Party and its leadership. We also exhort all Ghanaians to stand up to resist any agent of such diabolic schemes and to report them to the security agencies before, during and after the general elections in December 2012. Let us all unite to stop the genocidal tendencies, chaos and bloodshed that is being insinuated by the New Party Party, Jake Obetsebi Lamptey and Nana Akuffo Addo and all like-minded persons.
