I Have Not Been Compromised By NPP - Supt. Kwesi Ofori

The Tafo Pankrono district Police Commander, Superintendent Kwesi Ofori has dismissed allegations of conniving with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to intimidate members of the NDC from registering in the ongoing biometric registration. The Ashanti regional Secretary of the NDC, Joseph Yamin alleged that DSP Kwesi Fori had connived with the NPP in Ashanti region to register minors and intimidate members from the NDC. However, speaking on Breakfast XYZ on Thursday, Superintendent Kwesi Ofori said the allegations were "baseless and without merit". He stated that armed thugs on unregistered motorbikes led by one Ddigbordi were attacking some of the registration officers at some of the polling centres in Tafo Pankrono. He said Ddigbordi and his gang assaulted EC officials officials without justification. He added that some of the thugs were pursued by the police and arrested. Mr .Yamin however denied that thugs were assaulting EC officials and stated that Superintendent Ofori had been compromised by the NPP. But Superintendent Fori dismissed the claims that he had been compromised by the NPP. He added that he is not a politician and does not engage in politics that would dent his professionalism.
