Prez. Mills Calls For Easter Celebration In Moderation

The President of Ghana, John Evans Atta Mills, has given his Easter Message to Ghanaians both home and abroad, wishing them a Happy Easter and calling for a celebration in moderation. In his goodwill message to Ghanaians, the President asked that the Easter period be considered a solemn one where all can reflect on the reason for the season which is Jesus Christ, the son of God. The President said: Easter is the season where we think about the death of Christ and his resurrection. "Its a period of joy because of the confirmation that Jesus Christ rose from the dead. Ghanaians therefore naturally want to celebrate this occasion and I wish each and every Ghanaian the best wishes and a Happy Easter. President Mills added: However, let me caution that as we rejoice over the resurrection of Jesus Christ, as we celebrate the occasion, we must not over do it. Easter is in many cases, unfortunately associated with the accidents and carnage on our roads where people as a sign of their joy would want to drink and drive. Every life is important and Id want to appeal to all Ghanaians that whiles they can celebrate, let them be careful because there is life, there is work after the celebration so Happy Easter to all Ghanaians and may God continue to bless us all.
