Lies Dont Win Elections; God Is With Us Mills

The President of Ghana, Professor John Evans Atta Mills, has described persons who are failing to recognise the achievement of his government as detractors, who will always resort to lies to run down his administration. He served notice to the opposition that they should give credit where it is due because lies do not win elections and the signs are on the wall that Ghanaians will retain him for a second term. Let me caution that nobody can win the elections on the basis of lies and insults, President Mills told an enthusiastic crowd of sympathisers who welcomed him at the Kotoka International Airport on Tuesday evening. The signs are there, we have done enough; God is with us and well win. President Mills was returning from the United States of America on an official visit to President Barack Obama. According to the President, the hard won achievements that his government has chalked are what they will ride on to ensure victory in the upcoming December 2012 elections. He, however, noted that lies and foul language will not win the day for any politician. President Mills said: It is only our detractors who will fail to recognise what we are doing. Im confident that we are going to win the 2012 elections. He described as fruitful his state visit to the USA, indicating that the benefits to the country are enormous.
