FONKAR Goes Wild Demands Apology From Anyidoho For Making Derogatory Remarks

Mr. George Boateng, Advisor and Member of the splinter group Friends of Nana Konadu Agyemen-Rawlings (FONKAR) of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), is asking Mr. Koku Anyidoho, Communication Director at the Presidency, to apologize to the group or face the wrath of its members. He argued that FONKAR, as it stands today, is not at war with the Mills-led government to arrant such disparaging remarks from him. Mr. Boateng noted that Koku Anyidoho turns a blind eye and a deaf ear to their warning at his own peril because the group was ready to expose him. He told The Enquirer in an interview Koku Anyidoho must apologize to us or else we will attack him personally; we dont want to disgrace the presidency they should not push FONKAR, if they do we will reveal certain things about the President. The FONKAR Advisor said the group is committed to promoting peace both within and outside the party, insisting former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings has no presidential ambition to truncate the tenure of President Mills. He claims Nana Konadu told FONKAR in a meeting that she will not contest the 2012 elections as an independent candidate but rather wait for the end of the term of President Mills. Mr. Boateng explains that the Konadu for President 2012 T-shirts making the rounds in parts of the country were printed before the Sunyani congress, but not after, as rumoured around, adding all those around with the sankofa symbol are not those printed for the congress. He said FONKAR members with a presence in all the 10 regions of Ghana have turned Nana Konadus office into a complaint lodging ground because the leaders of the party have denied them access to the President at the castle and even the national headquarters of the party. Koku Anyidoho, a while ago, launched a scathing attack on FONKAR during a reaction to a publication that the President had held a meeting with his campaigners at the Peduase Lodge during which he allegedly sad he did not need former President Jerry Rawlings or his wife, Nana Konadu Agyeman- Rawlings, to retain power in the 2012 elections. While denying the report, Koku let go high-flying denigrations to clear his chest of what he said was a long overdue retort to FONKARs concoctions and fabrications against President Mills and in the process, he called them infants, diapers-wearing, bed-wetting political infants who have grouped themselves into something, and think that they are going to be able to sink the President in their bed-wetting agenda, it wont work. The Director of Communications at the Presidency said, I have restrained myself from responding to this group since they came out before out Sunyani congress, I have tried very hard to ignore them because they dont deserve any attention but at this point in time, I think that some of us are going to stand up to them. These bunch of (holds himself) I must watch my words. These bunch of, you know, like I said, diapers-wearing, bed-wetting political infants, they are not the ones who are going to destroy the NDC or destroy President Mills chance of getting a second term.
