Shortly after the three contemnors Alistair Nelson, Godwin Ako Gunn members of NDC and Salifu Maase alias Mugabe were sentenced to a four- months jail term by the Supreme Court, some ministers and members of President Mahama executive signed petition books to solicit signatories which would be relied upon to grant the trio a presidential pardon.
