Asante Kotoko SC head coach Mariano Barreto Jeronimo will leave the club after the season, Nhyira FM has reported.
The Portuguese trainer has decided to not continue as head coach of the Porcupine Warriors when the league comes to an end.
The 2020/2021 campaign has two remaining matches with Kotoko facing Bechem United next week and Elmina Sharks FC in a fortnight.
Barreto has been under serious pressure after the lost 1-0 to bitterest rivals Hearts of Oak last weekend handing the latter the advantage to clinch the premiership title.
Hearts lead the league table with 57 points while Kotoko are second placed with 54 points after 32 rounds.
The 64-year-old was appointed in March 2021 replacing Maxwell Konadu who was sacked in December 2020 after just five matches into the season.
