The inspection team from the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) arrived in Ghana on Sunday, 3 December, 2017 to assess the various facilities available in the country for a successful hosting of the CAF Women’s African Champion in 2018.
The team started their inspection tour together with the Local Organising Committee at Cape Coast sports stadium on Monday, 4 December 2017.
The team will also visit the Nduom Stadia, another venue for the tournament, and the Glowlamp Soccer Academy to assess the pitches which would be used as training facilities by the competing teams.
CAF’s team will extend their visit to hotels to be used by the teams and officials as well as hospitals.
The 2018 Africa Cup of Nations will be the 13th edition of the Africa Women Cup of Nations. It will be held from 17 November – 1 December 2018.
