Moses Cofie, a former Ghanaian international footballer and colleague coach of Kwesi Appiah, believes the step being taken by the Black Stars coach, to revamp the national team is in the right direction.
“Kwesi Appiah is doing the right thing and we need to support him. Ghana need to build a team that can take us to the next World Cup in 2022 and that is what Kwesi is doing, so I want all Ghanaians to support him to achieve his aim,” he said.
Speaking with GNA at his residence in Sowutoum, Accra, the Ghanaian coach based in Sudan, said he has been with Kwesi Appiah in Sudan and he knows what he can do for the nation.
He asked the Ministry of Youth & Sports, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the media led by SWAG to support Kwesi Appiah to succeed.
He noted that Ghana is blessed with football talents and the young rising stars must be helped to develop well.
He said the recent performance of the Black Starlets was commendable and urged the GFA to ensure their gradual promotion to the senior side.
