Ghana Football Association President Kwesi Nyantakyi says his outfit is ready to work hand in hand with the yet to be appointed new Sports Minister.
Sports Minister Hon. Nii Lantey Vanderpujye’s mandate comes to an end after January 7 hence a new Minister will be appointed to head the sector.
Nii Lantey during his reign as the sector minister was engaged in series of scuffles with the Ghana Football Association, an action which is believed to have affected the performance of the Black Stars in recent times.
Nyantakyi wants to maintain a healthy relationship with the incoming new Sports Minister.
“Sports Minister (Nii Lantey) was antagonistic to us. Anyway, now he belongs to history. Forget about him,” he told the media during the Ordinary Congress in Prampram.
“We are ready to work and offer our support to anyone who will be appointed as the new Sports Minister.”
Former Sports Minister OB Amoah, Dr. Obeng Busia and Isaac Asiamah have been tipped for the top position.
