Ghana's Sports minister Nii Lante Vanderpuye believes suspended duo Sulley Muntari and Kevin-Prince Boateng must be pardoned to aid their return to the Black Stars.
The two players have been frozen out of the team after they were thrown out of the Ghana camp during the country's 2014 FIFA World Cup wrecked campaign.
Boateng was slapped with an indefinite suspension after he was accused of verbally insulting then coach Kwesi Appiah.
Muntari was sacked after he attacked former Black Stars management committee member Moses Armah.
But sports minister Nii Lante Vanderpjuye wants the two 'rebels' given handed second chance.
The Minister of Youth and Sports, Nii Lante Vanderpuye, says he doesn’t think Sulley Muntari and Kevin-Boateng were given a fair hearing before being suspended from the Black Stars camp during the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
“Honestly I don’t think the two players got a fair hearing before they were sacked," he is quoted by Viasat 1 television
"In this life, I think everyone deserves a second chance and I believe that any Ghanaian, who can improve our team, deserves the chance to play for the senior national football team."
Opinions have been divided over the potential call-up of the duo ahead of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.

This is the right thing we should have done before starting the qualifiers. But now, we have lost it. We needed the two before the Uganda game. Look at how bad the team is. Jordan Ayew and Christian Atsu start all games when these two players hold Ghanaian passports. This is a shame!
leave those guys.they are now struggling for big team. they are old now let the young ones play
VANDERPUYE ARE YOU ALRIGHT UPSTAIRS?
I hope the FA and others who make the final decisions will think through the proposal od the minister. its not too late to bring them back into the team, in spite of their apparent misbehaviour. We need the best talents now if we are to make any impact in the coming international competitions , otherwise we should be prepared for the worst showing in recent history.
why do you make such a pronouncement as a minister without talking to the FA at a close door meeting for them to consider. You have failed so you want to divert attention. Sulley you know have outgrown his usefulness so you amaze me if you 're trying to call his come back at this time and not last time,it is very absurd for you to make such move as a minister. Your too known blablabla, you see where it has land you.You 're worse of all time sports minister, shame.
#Bring back Sulley and Kevin. ......
Mr. Vanderpuije, under your stewardship as sports minister, we have achieved nothing in sports. Ghana has dropped an all-time low in the fifa ranking, the black stars have gone 5 matches without a win,the black maidens and princesses have all been knocked out of their respective international competitions. Boxing, athletics, and the other sports are nothing to write home about. Mr. Minister, you are the worst performer in that portfolio in Ghana's history
Nii Lante is a very indisciplined person and he has carried this trait on to his office as a minister. If he were a disciplined minister he would talk to the FA and the coach, and come to an agreement instead of coming out on his own to pronounce his judgement without any consultations. These are all part of his plans to come into conflict with the FA president. He is full of himself. But no matter what he does, Nii Lante will never achieve what Kwasi Nyantakyi and his team have achieved for Ghana soccer in the past ten years.
Well, I said it many times that these players are being managed elsewhere, so how can't we manage them? I don't understand why in a 12 hrs flight with players and officials for a world cup, the players who will be using their legs after are crumpling in economy seats while GFA officials who will not use their legs sit comfortably in business (1st) class seats. If the players complain, who says they are indiscipline? They won't come because they can't stomach THESE NONE@#$SENSE!
