Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak have announced 30 coaches have applied to take up the coaching position.
The Phobians have been without a substantive coach since Yaw Preko resigned last month.
It's unclear which local or foreign coaches have applied for the top job.
Board member Thomas Esso revealed to Accra-based Starr FM on Thursday that they have received the applications and the shortlist will be made soon.
"We have about 30 coaches who have applied for the Hearts of Oak coaching job," he said
"We'll appoint a substantive coach before the season starts."
The position fell vacant after the resignation of club legend Yaw Preko in October this year.
Ex-Kotoko coach Henry Wellington Lamptey is currently the assistant coach.
Top coaches including ex-Kotoko coach Mas-Ud Dramani has refused to apply for the job.
The next coach who will be appointed will lead the team ahead of the start of the next season.
