Al Ittihad have close in on signing Ghana international Wakaso Mubarak as the midfielder is set for medicals tomorrow to complete the move to the Gulf.
The 25-year-old spent last season on loan at Celtic, having made the move to Scotland from Russian side Rubin Kazan.
However, he struggled to make an impact at Celtic Park and made just eleven appearances for the Bhoys, chipping in with a single goal, scored in the Europa League.
Now, according to Sky Italia, Wakaso is poised to head to Al Ittihad, who have all but reached an agreement to sign him.
Wakaso is due in Milan today, where he will undergo a medical and, all being well, put pen to paper with Al Ittihad.
The winger rose to prominence at Spanish sides Villarreal and Espanyol before being taken to Russia by Rubin Kazan in 2013.
At international level Wakaso is an established international with 31 caps and nine goals to his name for Ghana.
