Kumasi Asante Kotoko Ivorian-born striker Ahmed Toure has vowed to bring down sworn rivals Hearts of Oak when they meet at the Accra Sports stadium this Sunday.
The Porcupine warriors will be looking to revive their season and build on their impressive win against AshGold over the weekend.
Hearts of Oak have endured an equally torrid campaign with relegation a real possibility if they lose against Kotoko at home.
But Toure who chose Kotoke ahead of Hearts of Oak says they will add to the woes of the Phobians on Sunday.
“Whenever Hearts of Oak play against Kotoko it’s a big game and every player wants to give off his best,” Toure told Citisports.
“We know that they are in challenges but we are also aware that we need to pick up points to be able to remain competitive. “So we focused on picking up all three points on the day to improve our lots.”
Toure has scored 11 goals for the Porcupine warriors in 21 appearances.
