Ghana’s local Black Stars suffered their second straight loss at the ongoing COSAFA Cup tournament in South Africa after losing 3-0 to Zambia in the first Plate Semi Final game on Wednesday.
Maxwell Konadu’s charges thus fail to make up for their shocking defeat to Madagascar in the quarter = finals after losing 1-0.
The Ghanaian team were outclassed by a well composed Zambia side led by experienced goalie Kennedy Mweene.
Striker Bornwell Mwape got the opener for the 2012 African Champions in the 25th minute before Aaron Katebe took on a nice volley to beat Goalkeeper Stephen Adams in post for Ghana.
Highly-rated midfielder Nathan Sinkala rounded-up victory for the South African side after netting his side’s third in the 85th minute to set a date with Malawi in the Plate finals on Friday.
The local Black Stars are expected to arrive to continue their build-up for the upcoming CHAN qualifiers.
