GHANASoccernet.com understands that frontrunner for the Ghana coaching job Michel Pont is demanding a US$ 50,000 salary and wants to come along with two assistants.
According to sources, the two assistants will also receive a US$ 10,000 salary each by the Ghana Football Association.
This means employing the 60-year-old will cost Ghana US$ 70,000 a-month and that will mean current coach Maxwell Konadu will be relieved of his post.
Pont was interviewed on Friday by a panel comprising Ghana FA Executive Committee trio Fred Crentsil, Fred Pappoe and George Afriyie.
Also on the panel is CAF instructor Ben Koufie.
The select committee will meet on Monday to present their report to the Executive Committee for consideration
