Ghana defender John Pantsil has confirmed his departure from South African side Santos.
Pantsil, 32, joined Santos on a six-month loan deal but has decided to move on following the sides failure to secure promotion to the countrys top-flight League next season.
He has decided to pursue a new challenge elsewhere and confirmed he will not extend his deal with the club.
Before I signed for Santos, I was not playing for any club and so wanted to keep myself in shape, he told Power FM.
No big club was ready to sign me because I was not playing.
So I used Santos as a stepping stone. Now that the season is over, I think I have made a good impact.
I am hoping for the best next season. Definitely Im not going to stay in Santos.
He joined the Fish as a free agent after being released by newly-promoted English side Leicester City.
