The Esperance rearguard has been ruled out of Wednesdays pre-World Cup friendly due to his inability to secure visa.
Ghana defender Harrison Afful was unable to secure visa for the Black Stars friendly against Montenegro on March 5.
The Esperance guardsman has therefore been ruled out paving way for coach Kwesi Appiah to start Vitoria Guimaraes left-back David Addy on Wednesday.
Afful was in full action for the Blood and Gold in their Caf Champions League game against Kenyan side Gor Mahia over the weekend and had a hand in one of the three goals scored for the Tunisian side.
The 27-year-old would have to keep up with his performance at club level to catch the eye of Appiah since the Montenegro game serves as a major platform in selecting his squad for the World Cup this summer.
