The Ghanaian rearguard has been slapped with a three-match ban for his red card incident during a Ligue 1 game against Lyon.
Ghana international Jonathan Mensah has been handed a three-match ban by the Ligue 1 Disciplinary Committee after sitting on his red card incident.
The 23-year-old centre-back was sent off by referee Tony Chapron when he disputed a warning by the official in their game against Lyon.
�The Disciplinary Committee of the LFP has imposed three-game suspension on the defender of Evian-Thonon-Gaillard Jonathan Mensah who had strongly disputed a warning from the referee in the game against Lyon,� a statement from the disciplinary committee said.
The Ghanaian was sent off in the 30th minute of the said Ligue 1 game after receiving two yellow cards for allegedly using abusive language on the referee.
