Ghana winger Christian Atsu feels he is more lethal when operating from the right flank ďż˝ an attribute he used to devastating effect in the 6-1 demolishing of Egypt.
The new Chelsea recruit who is currently on loan at Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem scored a sensational goal to cap of a wonderful Black Stars performance in the rout against the Pharaohs.
Atsu cut in from the right before unleashing a low driven with his left foot to score Ghanas six to the enjoyment of the already partying crowd at the Baba Yara Stadium last Tuesday.
The 21-year-old can however play on the left ďż˝ where he is usually deployed.
But the former Porto man believes he is at his best when operating from the right flank as it gives him more freedom to use his powerful left foot in his final play.
I can play on both wings but I feel more comfortable on the right wing where I cut in and shoot, Atsu told Goal.
That is exactly what I did against Egypt. I can use my right but not much as I am predominantly left.
