The Local Black Stars� quest for a maiden trophy in the third edition of the Championship of African Nations (CHAN) will face a stern test from Libya, Congo Brazzaville and Ethiopia next year.
The Stars, hoping to be third time lucky at the competition fashioned out for indigenous players will have to go past the three at the group stage of the competition.
Ghana have been pitted in Group C alongside the trio after the draw organized by the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) in Cairo, Egypt on Wednesday.
The Stars were silver medalists at the maiden edition hosted by Ivory Coast in 2009, and will be hoping to improve upon their first round exit two years on in Sudan when the tournament get underway in South Africa from January 11-Februay 1.
Meanwhile, host South Africa are housed in Group A alongside Mali, Nigeria and Mozambique.
Morocco, Burkina Faso, Zimbabwe and Uganda are the occupants of Group B with DR Congo, Gabon, Burundi and Mauritania completing Group D.
