Greek champions Olympiakos have reached agreement with experienced Ghanaian international midfielder Derek Boateng to join them, Greek media reported Monday.
According to the reports, the 29-year-old was in Athens and after passing a medical examination agreed to join Olympiakos for the rest of this season with an option for another two years.
The reports said that Boateng - who has played for four other Greek clubs during his career - is waiting to be released from his Ukrainian club Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk which he joined last season, something that is expected very soon.
Boateng, who is much-travelled having played club football in five countries, has has been capped 46 times since making his debut in 2001, scoring twice.
