Ex-Ghana captain CK Akonnor is expected to be relieved of his job as the assistant coach of the countrys U20 side in the coming hours.
This comes after his boss Orlando Wellington jumped before he was sacked as the coach of the Black Satellites following recent disgraceful results.
Akonnor, who is the head coach of giants Hearts of Oak, was undertaking the dual role and has come in for criticism for having divided attention.
Now George Afriyie, management committee chairman of the Black Satellites, agrees that Akonnors divided attention is having a negative effect.
We will make changes to the technical team of the Black Satellites because the current arrangement is bring a lot of pressure on us, Afriyie said.
The arrangement with Akonnor is not the best and when pre-season starts with Hearts it is going to get busier so we will consider his position.
The sacking of Wellington has been speculated for long after strings of unimpressive results.
A 2-2 draw with Namibia last Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium in the three-nation tournament in Accra facilitated his exit.
He failed to qualify the Ghana Under-20 team from the Group stage of the 2011 African Youth Championship.
