Striker Nathaniel Asamoah had his Serbian Super Liga debut for Red Star Belgrade delayed after arriving late from Ghana last week.
The 22-year-old was in Ghana last month to acquire a new passport to finalise his move to the former European champions after sealing a four-year deal in January.
The former Asante Kotoko goal poacher was expected to feature in Red Star�s home game against Spartak Subotica but was unable to make the final 18-man squad.
Asamoah however warmed the bench for the reserves side on Sunday. �Asamoah did not play because he arrived late from Ghana. He was on the bench for the reserves,� a Red Star insider told MTNFootball.com He is likely to earn a place in the first team who travel to Javor Ivanjica next Saturday.
