Ghana striker Derek Asamoah scored and set up a goal for Korean side Pohang Steelers who thumped Japanese side Gamba Osaka 3-0 in the Asian Champions League on Tuesday.
The 31-year-old set up Tae-Su Kim to score the opener on 13 minutes for the three-time Asian champions. .
He raced clear off his marker on the before weighing in a cross for Tae-Su Kim to head.
Zoran Rendulic doubled the lead with a clinical finishing technique on 23 minutes before Asamoah put the game beyond the reach of Osaka with a neat finish.
The victory sent Pohang Steelers top of Group E with three points.
The top two teams in each of the eight groups advance to a knockout round of 16.
