Ghanaian prodigy Jordan Ayew has signed a three-year extension to his contract with French giants Marseille.
The 19-year-old signed the contract over the weekend as Marseille seek to ward off interest in the talented player
Jordan had only one year left on his contract and had already been eyed by stellar European clubs.
The new deal will leave him at the club until 2015.
Coach Didier Deschamps says he will supervise the development of the talented midfielder in the upcoming season.
He has taken some steps. He still remains to be overcome. He has yet to be built in his head but he has good potential, Deschamps said.
He will be one of six strikers that I have with all our competitions, it will not be too many.
Jordan made 22 appearances and scored twice for Marseille last season.
