Asante Kotoko striker Ahmed Toure has touted himself as the best on the local scene after been short-listed for the Sports Writers Association of Ghana Premiership Player of the season.
The Ivorian is competing with Berekum Chelsea striker Emmanuel Clottey and New Edubiase captain Abubakar Mumuni for the award.
Toure joined Kotoko for the second half of the season and helped catapult the club to a second-placed finish.
Clottey scored 15 goals to hand Berekum Chelsea the league title and Mumuni emerged as the in all 30 matches for his side.
But Toure believes he was head and shoulders above his rivals.
I know Im the best at the moment on the local scene and I believe I will win the top individual prize, Toure said. The season was pretty good for the club despite the fact that we didnt start on a good note, but I think the inclusion of the other players in the second round helped us a lot.
