The Ministry of Youth and Sports (MOYS) through the National Sports Authority (NSA) is embarking on a fumigation exercise at all state-owned sporting facilities in the country.
According to the NSA, the exercise had become necessary due to the safety measures taken to protect workers, athletes as well as the general public in the face of the recent pandemic.
The NSA said, the Accra Sports Stadium and Cape Coast Stadium have already been fumigated with Tamale, Kumasi and Essipong stadium set to be fumigated in the coming days.
The exercise is in collaboration with Metropolitan and Municipal District Assemblies (MMDAs) and the Regional Coordinating Council across the country.
"Other measures put in place for the running of essential services by the National Sports Authority include encouragement of workers to work from home using digital office ''SmartWork Space'' and other online conference utilities,'' a statement from the NSA said.
