Mr. Isaac K. Asiamah, Minister of Youth & Sports, has said, the government would soon announce a handsome package for World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Super Batamweight Interim title holder Isaac Dogboe.
Dogboe, last Saturday defeated Cesar Juarez, to win the title in a fight at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra, last Saturday.
Speaking in an interview after the historic bout, he described Dogboe, as a disciplined and a determined boxer, who is seeking to attain greater heights.
"In the coming weeks, you will hear from government. I can promise you that the President would reward Dogboe handsomely for his performance.
“I am so proud of him and all I can say now is that, he is so focused, determined and disciplined and that is what every boxer needs to attain greater heights in the country,” he added.
He said, he was overwhelmed by the performance of Dogboe and urged him to continue with his good work.
Dogboe, by the victory extended his invincibility in the ring to 18 bouts, without a defeat.
He is now set to take on WBO Super Bantamweight champion Jessie Magdaleno before the close of April.
