After a heavy social media backlash for referring to Ex-President of the Republic of Ghana, John Agyekum Kufuor as a ‘Nigga’ in a Facebook post, Ghanaian hip hop artist Pappy Kojo has rendered an apology to Ghanaians and all who felt offended by his post.
The musician explained the use of ‘Nigga’ was to express how cool the former President was to meet and not exactly what people thought.
The Awo’a composer in a post said;
“My Facebook is verified and because of my busy schedule I have a team that helps me run it, the other handler posted a picture I took with ex-president J.A Kufuor with a caption meant to be an expression of how cool he is, unfortunately, a lot of you see it as insulting, and I understand, and I am very sorry.
No disrespect was intended, and I quickly changed it myself when I was notified. I’m a proud Ghanaian, and I will never disrespect my land and my people. I truly regret this happening. Once again I’m sorry. Bless”.
