Gospel musician, Daniel Akakpo will on Saturday, April 8, officially launch his latest record album titled, Heaven Rules at the Fountain Gate Tabernacle in London.
According to organizers, the show which starts at 5:30 pm will be a time of ‘spiritual empowerment’ for patrons as it will have on stage astute gospel singers including Eloho Efemuai, Sarah Teibo, Lyrical Soldier, and Atta Boafo among other powerful ministers.
The new album which has 14 ‘powerful’ tracks is currently receiving massive airplay both abroad and in Ghana.
Ever since Daniel Akakpo burst unto the gospel music scene, his distinctive character has been to encourage the depressed and down-trodden to keep trusting in God and he believes he’s living up to that purpose with his new album.
Daniel Akakpo now has two albums to his credit.

About Daniel Akakpo
Daniel Akakpo is an anointed, unique and down to earth UK-based International Gospel Artist. He is a songwriter, gifted Praise and Worship Leader, an elder in the Church of Pentecost and currently the Deputy leader of the National Music Ministry of The Church of Pentecost, UK (COPUK).
Since the start of his ministry, Daniel has had the privilege of sharing stage with other international ministers such as Noel Robinson, Roger Samuels, Wole Awolola, Atta Boafo, Diana Hamilton, OJ Micheal Oware, Lyrical Soldier, Eloho Efumuai, Myco Chris and much more
Born in Ghana into a family of gifted Siblings most of whom are Gospel Artists, professional videographers and Studio/Sound engineers (Rebecca Ray, Celestine Donkor, Peter King, John Edem, Michael Ray etc), it was therefore not surprising that Daniel's singing ministry started at the tender age of 7 whilst in the Sunday School Choir and he has since then seen the mighty hand of the Lord move and touch hundreds of lives during his ministrations.
Daniel has used his charisma, inspiration, and experience in the field of Praise and Worship to mentor a number of young people as well as give advice to already established Gospel artists. He has also held several worship workshops and seminars across the nation.
A founding member as well as the music/choir director of several choirs from the age of 17, he has led choirs including the Holy Ghost Singers (Osu District, Gh), Echoes of Heaven (UDS Pensa, Tamale Gh), New Generation Singers and Fountain of Praise (PIWC - FGT, UK).

Daniel Akakpo released his first album 'EVERLASTING GOD' in April 2011 and 6 months after won the GMA Ireland 2011 award in the 'Best International Male Gospel Artist' category. In addition, the album received nominations for 'Best International Album of the Year' as well the as the 'Best International Song of the Year - 'Everlasting God'. In 2014 he was nominated for 'Discovery of the Year' in the African Gospel Music Awards (AGMA)
In 2013, Daniel Akakpo, once again, stormed the UK Gospel market with his new single 'NEXT LEVEL'. After successfully touring major cities like Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Reading, Southampton and Milton Keynes with the next level single, Daniel decided to use it as a BRANDED theme for all his Concerts
Daniel is currently working on his second album 'HEAVEN RULES' which is due to be released on the 8th of April 2017.
With a natural flair for combining both Contemporary, Afro, Pop, Traditional and soulful singing, he has become one of the finest and influential multicultural Praise & Worship Leader of this generation and hopes to continue to touch the hearts of many across the globe.
