Charter House has carefully chosen Sarkodie and Bandana (Shatta Wale) to headline the Lifebuoy Hands Up For Hygiene free concert slated for 12th October, 2013.
Sarkodie and Bandana currently have the largest fans in Ghana and will attempt a national record for the largest number of people washing their hands in an entertaining way.
It is hoped that lovers of Sarkodie and Bandana's music who troop to the Trade Fair Car Park, La on Saturday 12th October also pledge their commitment to hygiene by always washing their hands.
A statement from the organizers noted that �Every year, 2 million children worldwide die before the age of 5 due to infections like diarrhoea and pneumonia. The simple act of hand washing with soap can prevent many of these deaths�.
The Lifebuoy Hands-Up For Hygiene Concert is in commemoration of the Global Hand washing Day which falls on October 15.
The statement added, the Lifebuoy Hands-Up For Hygiene Concert will seek "to promote hand washing in Ghana as many people get infections like diarrhoea and pneumonia from not washing their hands".
Edem, Raquel, Keche, D-Black, Ben Brako, Joey B and more are also expected to perform join the Lifebuoy Hands-Up For Hygiene Concert.
The concert is being organized in partnership with the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Community Water and Sanitation Agency, Charter House and powered by Lifebuoy.
