Frank Annoh-Dompreh, the Majority Chief Whip, did not mince words as he criticized Independent Presidential aspirant Alan Kyerematen for his recent comment. Alan Kyerematen had suggested that Ghana, with a Christian majority, should elect a Christian leader as president in 2024.
Alan Kyerematen, while speaking at the Church of Pentecost’s Easter Sunday Convention at the Dr. Thomas Wyatt Assembly, said: “As a predominantly Christian nation, as Christians, it is our responsibility that we elect a Christian leader who is also Christlike,” he stated while touting himself as the man to transform the country."
He added, “If God touches your heart and you vote for Alan Kyerematen, the transformative leader, then I can assure you, as our Lord Jesus did on the cross, promise that ye shall be in paradise with him; you shall also be in paradise when I come into power.”
Frank Annoh-Dompreh, the Member of Parliament for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, took to his X platform, and criticized Alan's statement, describing it as "backward, terrible, and ugly."
“The NPP has truly'suffered’ in bearing & tolerating you over the years. Show me one country globally that has succeeded by using your theory. Alan is clearly not relevant in our'modern’ body politics!..bow in shame!.”
This is backwards, terrible & and ugly, to say the least. The NPP has truly 'suffered' in bearing & tolerating you over the years. Show me one country globally who has succeeded by using your theory. Alan is clearly not relevant in our 'modern' body politics!..bow in shame!. pic.twitter.com/yQrJfb3Fhz

I can't disagree with this call. We cannot bite more than we can chew, we need to learn from Nigeria. We can't vote for people who can compromise for their selfish gains, how Bawumia was able to condescend to vote buying of delegates with huge sums of money is still mind boggling. We can't pretend that we are not aware of the agenda of some to have Muslim presidents in all West African countries, and such agendas always come with a lot of cost. We are better of with a trusted Muslim than those who can resort to lies and use of money to win elections.
Annor Dompre ne gyimie de3. Very rude and arrogant.
Look at his hypocritical face. If not for politics... When Kyei Mensah Bonsu was campaigning for Bawuliar on the basis of him being a Muslim where were these hypocrites?
If Ghana even needs a Muslim leader, then we deserve a proper Muslim not any fake one like Bawumia. He is behind the lgbtq group, and this a sharp contradiction to Islam. Till date he hasn't been able to declare his position. Proper Muslims in Ghana won't vote for him, just on this grounds.
My friend, stop the hypocrisy. We were in this country when Bawumia told Muslims to vote for him, because he is one of them. How about that?? That is what Alan believes and you cannot take it away from him. No LGBTQ+ advocate or promoter can win power in Ghana.
