A timely intervention by the Deputy Majority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin prevented what would have been the first open fight in Ghana's parliament today, February 13, 2024.
The house witnessed a near fracas between Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong and his colleague NPP MP, Sylvester Tetteh of Bortianor-Ngleshie Amanfro.
Reason for the near-melee remains unclear but grapevine sources say it is centred on an unpaid personal debt Sylvester Tetteh is owing the Assin Central MP.
It all began when Sly Tetteh attempted to exchange pleasantries with Mr Agyapong but the latter got infuriated for no apparent reason.
Sensing ‘danger’, the Deputy Majority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markinw swiftly stepped in to whisk Sly Tetteh away from the chamber.

@Dan, You have to be bold to admit that what Kennedy did was disgraceful. To do what he did in Parliament while someone was on the floor speaking. And don't peddle false narrative that Sly is owing Ken. Even if it is true Sly is owing Ken some money, was that the appropriate place to go for his money and the best way to react? I don't understand why some otherwise nice people follow and condone st0pid behaviours. You are free to like Ken but don't accept everything he does. Imagine such a character were to become a president of the whole country?
I am not surprised . On a program on GMG Sly mentioned he was protecting his investments . Why should we be surprised.
So so disgusting to say the least,so if someone owes as a president is that how he was going to behave?whoever supported this guy to become a president must bow their heads in shame, total disgrace
Information i gathered is that the Sylvesters Tetteh owes Kennedy Agyapong some money, Ken then asked Sylvester to pay him his money, Sylvester retorted by telling Ken to go to court. If what i heard is true, then Kennedy has every right to react the way he did because he, Sylvester didn't borrow the said money from Ken in court . The Akans have a saying thus " the mouth they use to borrow and not same mouth they use to pay". As for this one i support Kennedy Agyapong 100%
