Former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Ohene Ntow, says he has endorsed Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen for the 2024 presidential election because he has a high level of competence than the others.
In a television interview on Metro TV, Nana Ohene Ntow said individuals make choices based on the character of the candidate being elected into office and for him, Alan Kyerematen is his choice based on his character.
“People make choices, based on first of all the individual’s character... I’m sure it is a no-brainer that you should consider. If you tell me that you have expelled me based on the constitutional provision, I will not challenge you."
Nana Ohene Ntow was reacting to the announcement by the NPP that he, along with Yaw Buaben Asamoa, Hopeson Adorye and Boniface Abubakar Saddique are no longer members of the NPP, in line with the party's constitution which makes it automatic that the cease to be members based on their endorsement of a rival aspirant against the one the party has chosen.
Nana Ohene Ntow said he committed no wrong by publicly endorsing Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen.
“I will not argue about it. You have constitutional rights to do what you think is right, but this is politics, it’s all about numbers,” Nana Ohene Ntow said.

This guy left the party long time ago. He is sel-fish and ***barred word***. He belongs to the old Allan group in 2008 and has never repented He is only serving individuals in the party and not the party.
Alan became trade minister for almost 10 years in the fourth republic, tell me one remarkable trade policy or shift did he bring to change Ghana's trade dynamics, Ghana has been importing and Alan could not push for a stop to importation even Kuffour's government that he was the darling man of the moment. He had the chance in Nana to push forcefully the one district on factory And what did he do. Bawumia also had the chance to push his Idea and he pushed it forcefully with commitment. If Alan was waiting or holding onto his ideas because he wanted to become president before implementing them then he goof big time.
Alan is more competent like a lot of Ghanaians to be president, but the question is , like a lot of more competent Ghanaians, how can he be the president of Ghana without the support of the Ndc or the Npp? The mind set of Alan supported by you guys is like “it’s better to be a throw in than to be a corner in football “ is a huge disgrace to you all. Alan is becoming an annoying and bitter person not the so called transformational person he portrayed himself to be.
so this person became a general secretary. how did he handle the party and how can he discipline others. oh nana, how can you walk away from your party a former general secretary paaaaaaa. at least allow the rest not you a guy who held such a high position. bye bye bye no need to talk read your former party constitution. who sack kakra asamoah...was it your tenure....just asking and what did he do....do not tell us as we know
Exercise in futility.
